Course Overview:
Momager is a 6-week educational program designed specifically for parents who want to better support and manage their child’s experience in the entertainment industry. This training focuses on helping parents understand the casting process, industry expectations, and how to foster a professional and supportive environment for their child. Remember the casting process involves how production works with parents. How you manage your child and your interactions matter just as much as your child’s talent.
Course Outline:
- Week 1: The Professional Submission Process
Learn how to improve your child’s audition-to-submission ratio by understanding what casting professionals look for and how to present your child effectively. - Week 2: Branding, Websites, and Social Media
Understand the importance of branding for young performers, what materials are essential, and how to maintain a professional online presence. - Week 3: On-Set Etiquette and Industry Terminology
Discover common mistakes parents make on set and learn the professional language and behavior expected in a production environment. - Week 4: Talent Resumes vs. Casting Profile Resumes
Explore the differences between printed resumes used in person and those uploaded to casting platforms, and how to format each correctly. - Week 5: Audition Best Practices and Script Support
Master audition submission techniques, including how to effectively submit multiple takes, and learn how to support your child in script analysis and preparation. - Week 6: Understanding the Pathway from Background Roles to Lead Opportunities

About the Instructor-Animator
Ekaette, MBA
Phonetically: A - Kite🪁- Tay
Ekaette is the CEO of Set on a Hill and Instructor of this Professional Program. She has hosted career events and career panels citywide to support individuals within their careers for the last 10 years.
She is an award winning filmmaker who has written and produced 4 Television series, 3 Animated Films, and 5 Live Action Films. She has won two film festival awards. As a director for film and TV shows she has coached kids, teens, and adults to showcase their best characters that connect with audiences.
She is the author and illustrator of 5 children’s books, where 3 were made into televisions shows and cartoons.
Ekaette is a voice-over artist and voice-over acting coach. She does voice-overs in over 30 different languages, plays tons of characters, and has created a training where she teaches voice-over actors how to voice over 101 Animated Character voices.
Ekaette also gives back to the community. She has created career panel, career fairs and donated her time to speak to the community and University student about the job search process and the business side of acting. She holds a BA from Rice University and a MBA in International Business from the University of Houston Victoria.

When is the registration deadline for the Fall 2025?

Does my child need to attend the guidance calls?
Yes, we will evaluate both the parent and youth during the guidance call. Both the parent and the child should be in attendance.
How many guidance calls are there? What if I can't make it?
There are 2 guidance calls.
2 Q&A Guidance Calls: Fall 2025
- Audition Assessment + Q&A
- Profile Evaluation + Q&A
The first will asses your audition preparation for both the parent and talent. The second will evaluate your completed profiles for those who attend.
If you can’t make it you can submit your questions in the Q&A form and we will do our best to answer those questions at the end of the Guidance Call. Submission must be through the Q&A form and not just complted modules. The Guidance calls will be recorded and avilable for viewing 3 days after the call is completed. The calls will show up in the Module Guidance Call Replay section.
What is the best age to take this Program?
There’s no one right age for every kid, teen, or adult to learn. That’s partially because every person is different and partially because there are so many different kinds of styles! This course uses video, visual, and auditory tools for training. This course is great for teens, kids, and adults.
What if I am the talent and I just want to take this program?
Yes the program is open to any talent. The program is geared toward the parent and youth talent dynamic but the information is approximately 99% applicable for all talent.
I'm a guardian not a mom; can I still take this program?
Yes the program is open to any parent or guardian. Momager is an industry term for a parent/guardian that helps to submit and pitch their child/talent for opportunities in the film, tv, music, or dance industry.
How long do I have access to the program?
You have access to the program for 120 days from the time of registration. Please note this is not the time that you begin working on the program but at the time you are enrolled or register.
