Description of the Challenge
There are talented voice-over actors out there. We want to share educational tools on how to get into the animation industry.

To accomplish this Set on a Hill’s Animation Voice-Over Challenge (“the Challenge”) asks voice-over actors to produce a mp3 audio of a character spotlight for animation.
The audio must be an animated character.

Sponsor
The sponsor of this Challenge is Set on a Hill (“Sponsor”).
Binding Agreement
To enter the challenge, you must agree to these Official Rules (the “Rules”). Therefore, please read the following rules prior to entry to ensure you understand and agree. You agree that submission of an entry in the challenge constitutes agreement to these Rules. You may not submit an entry to the challenge and are not eligible to receive the prizes described in the Rules, unless you agree to these Official Rules. These Official Rules form a binding legal agreement between you, Set on a Hill and the challenge Sponsor with respect to the Challenge.
Overview
No purchase, payment, or donation of any kind is necessary to enter or win; a purchase, payment, or donation will not increase the chance of winning. By entering, entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final. The Challenge starts at 12:00 AM Central Time, February 7, 2022, and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Time, March 10, 2022. (Priority Deadline February 22, 2022 at 11:59PM PST)
(“Challenge Period”). All entries must be received by 11:59 PM Pacific Time, March 10, 2022.
Who Can Enter
1. The challenge is intended for voice-over actors worldwide.
2. To be eligible to participate in the Challenge, must be 3 years of age or older. A maximum of one Entrant per entry is allowed. If the grand prize or finalist winner is under age 18, Challenge prize may be awarded to custodial parent(s) or legal guardian(s) pursuant to applicable law.
3. Current Employees of Set on a Hill and Sponsor, their subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members are ineligible. Sponsor’s agents and/or current independent contractors and their immediate family members are also ineligible. The term “immediate family member” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.
How to Enter
Qualified entrants shall submit a mp3 audio of an animated character by the Challenge closing date and time. The audio size should be at or under 300 MB for uploads. Original audio files must be in .MP3 format. Audio can be recorded form your phone, computer, microphone or any recording device. You will need to convert the audio to an .mp3 file by using any of the free conversion software online.

Each entry (hereinafter “Submission” or “Entry”) must be uploaded to the Google Form at https://forms.gle/FW8RTRvHJNS7STfE8.

No Submission will be considered that does not upload successfully to the google form or fails to submit an entry form.

Entry Terms
1. Each Entry must be in keeping with Set on a Hill’s image and Sponsor’s image and may not be profane, offensive, pornographic, defamatory or inappropriate as determined by Set on a Hill in Set on a Hill’s sole discretion. Set on a Hill reserves the right to disqualify any Submission it deems to be not in keeping with Set on a Hill’s image or Sponsor’s image, profane, offensive, pornographic, defamatory, and/or inappropriate is Set on a Hill’s sole discretion.
2. Submissions can be in any language. If you are submitting an audio file in any other language than English, you will also need to submit the written text of the audio and the English translation within the submission form within the comments section.
3. The person uploading or submitting the Entry will be deemed the entrant (“Entrant”). The Entrant is the one person who owns the email address associated with the Submission, except that an email address in the name of the parent or legal guardian of the otherwise eligible minor entering the submission will be permitted and the minor will be deemed the Entrant. Set on a Hill, its affiliates, the Sponsor, its program partners, and any others involved in the development and/or execution of this Challenge are not responsible for any disputes among parents and children related to the Challenge.
4. Entrants can submit an audio file that was written by someone else, but you must give appropriate credit and correctly label it within the submission form as a “Public/Scripted” created audio. Each Entrant that submits an “Original” audio and character profile agrees not to submit any Entry that infringes upon any third party proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or confidentiality obligations, or otherwise violates applicable U.S. law. Entries violating this section of the rules may be disqualified.
5. Each Entrant is limited to a total of five (1) submission. Each Entrant is limited to one prize per person, household, and/or email address. Each Entrant and a parent or guardian will be required to sign a release and affidavit for the Challenge entry and must agree to abide by these rules.
6. If the Submission contains any copyrighted works (including music) other than those owned by the Entrant, you must note that within the submission form.
Undocumented, use of unauthorized music or other copyrighted works may result in disqualification of the Submission or alteration of the Submission, in Set on a Hill’s sole discretion. Any music used will need to be submitted with native files.
7. Set on a Hill reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to remove or silence any non-material elements rather than disqualify an otherwise compliant Submission. SET ON A HILL may elect to make these changes or ask the Entrant to do so. If SET ON A HILL requests Entrant make these adjustments and Entrant chooses not to make these adjustments, the Submission is subject to disqualification.
8. By entering, each Entrant hereby releases and holds harmless SET ON A HILL, Sponsor, its program partners, and each of their subsidiaries and affiliates, and any others involved in the development and/or execution of this Challenge, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and employees of the same from any and all claims, demands, losses, promises, causes of action, and liabilities arising out of this Challenge including travel.
9. Submissions that do not comply in all material respects with the Official Rules or that otherwise contain prohibited or inappropriate content in SET ON A HILL’s sole discretion will be disqualified, not published, and/or not considered for prizes.
10. By submitting an Entry, each Entrant agrees SET ON A HILL shall unconditionally and irrevocably own the Entry submitted including all rights embodied therein in winning entries and that SET ON A HILL and its designees may use, publish, adapt, modify, combine, or dispose of any Entry or Submission or elements there of any Entry or Submission online, in print, film, television, or any other media now or hereafter without additional compensation or notification to, or permission from, the Entrant, except as prohibited by law.
11. SET ON A HILL and Challenge Sponsor are not responsible for lost, late or misdirected email; printing errors; server unavailability; or computer or any other electronic or telecommunications malfunction.
12. All Submissions received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All Submissions become the property of SET ON A HILL and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Elimination
Any false information provided within the context of the Challenge by any participant concerning identity, mailing address, telephone number, email address, ownership of right or non-compliance with these Official Rules, or the like, may result in the immediate elimination of the participant from the Challenge. The Challenge Sponsor further reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it believes in its sole and unfettered discretion infringes upon or violates the rights of any third party, otherwise does not comply with these Official Rules, or violates U.S. or applicable state or local law.

Winner Selection
1. One (1) Entrant Grand Prize Winner (“Grand Prize Winner”) will be selected by a panel of judges chosen by SET ON A HILL. All decisions of the judges are final and binding. Ninety-nine (99) finalist winner will be selected.
2. The following criteria are what the judges will use to primarily evaluate each audio video:
a) Animation Character
The focus of the character is for use on any animation projects.

1. b) Creativity
   Entries must creatively incorporate their message into their Submissions. Creativity can be included through many means,
   Giving the character depth of emotions. The character can live in different worlds. Use of royalty free music. Use of royalty free sound effect. Use of other languages.
   • Whether and to what extent the Entry grabs the listener’s attention in a unique and memorable way
   • Whether and to what extent the audio is relatable, relevant and memorable for the animation industry

   c) Quality of recording
   Entries provided in an unapproved format or saved in such a way that a listener is not able to understand the audio content, will not be considered (i.e. overly grainy as to be unable to listen, sound inaudible or unintelligible).
   Judges will consider the quality of each Submission in terms of:
   • Whether the audio as submitted can be utilized in multiple arenas (social media, tv, online outlets, etc.)
   • Whether the audio format supports and enhances the message and content
   3. The winner will be notified on or around March 20, 2022 and announced on or after March 25, 2022. Each Entrant agrees to be bound by the Official Rules, and the decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to this Challenge.

Prizes
1. One (1) Entrant Grand Prize Winner will be chosen. The Grand Prize Winner will receive:

• $10 Amazon Gift Card
• Added to the Set on a Hill LLC casting roster. This does not mean you are hired, and does not constitute employment. This means you are on our list for animation projects for review when we have auditions. There is no guarantee of how many auditions you will receive. There is no guarantee of work.
• A role in an upcoming animated film. The role size is not guaranteed. The role will begin voice-over recording or video recording at anytime from March 20, 2022 to Dec 31, 2022. The airing of the production is dependent on premier dates. Set on a Hill is not required to release the final project in any time frame.
• Mini General Meeting with an animation industry professional. This meeting is not a guarantee of employment, this meeting is not an audition. This meeting will allow you to meet with an animation industry professional for 15 minutes to ask them questions and to learn more about the industry.
• Animation of your Voice-Over Character reel. The animation will be 15 seconds long and will be for a single character. The actor can share initial requirements within 1 week of a request sent to the actor. There will be no revisions on the final animation produced.

2. Ninety-nine Finalist Winners will be chosen. The Finalist Winners will receive:

• $10 Amazon Gift Card. This gift card will be sent digitally by April 20, 2022 if all required information has been submitted.
• Added to the Set on a Hill LLC casting roster. This does not mean you are hired, and does not constitute employment. This means you are on our list for animation projects for review when we have auditions. There is no guarantee of how many auditions you will receive. There is no guarantee of work.

3. All Submitted participants who submit an mp3 will receive the following:

• Added to the Set on a Hill LLC casting roster. This does not mean you are hired, and does not constitute employment. This means you are on our list for animation projects for review when we have auditions. There is no guarantee of how many auditions you will receive. There is no guarantee of work.

4. No substitutions for the prize will be allowed. Void where restricted or prohibited.
   5. Odds of winning depend on the number of Entries received.
   6. Winners are solely responsible for all taxes and/or fees that may be incurred. All winners are required to verify proper and legal picture identification within 30 days of notification of winning the prize. Winner may forfeit any and all winnings if verification cannot or has not been made within 30 days. Upon proper verification, winnings will be awarded within ninety (90) business days.

• If the prize is an Amazon Gift Card (“GC”), each winner must have or will need to create an Amazon.com account in order to redeem the GC. The GC may only be used for purchases of eligible goods on Amazon.com or certain of its affiliated websites. The GC cannot be redeemed for the purchase of another GC. Except as required by law, the GC cannot be transferred for value or redeemed for cash. To redeem or view a GC balance, visit “Your Account” on Amazon.com. Bonus Prizes:

In order to qualify for any bonus prize you must complete all of the steps as outlined above and post the challenge image on your Instagram feed as a post. We will review all finalists and bonus winners to ensure the post is visible.

We reserve the right to add bonus prizes as necessary.

Bonus prizes can not be traded in for cash. They are not transferable. 

• The First 10 original characters where the talent created the script will be considered for the bonus of getting their character spotlight animated. The animation will be 15 seconds. The animation will begin anytime from February 15, 2022 until Dec 15, 2022. We reserve the right to deliver the animations as necessary. There are no revisions allowed for any animations, they will be delivered from the description that the talent share in the submission. If more information is required the talent will have 3 days to supply the requested information in order to get their reel animated. The animation will be in 2D and with characters within our library of characters.
• $50 Gift Certificate to the Set on a Hill “Animation Builders Virtual Summit” event in 2022. This gift certificate cannot be exchanged for money. This certificate cannot be combined with any other offers and cannot be transferred to another event. The Gift Certificate is for the live attendance of the event. For the gift certificate replay is not guaranteed. The replay will be offered to those who attend live.
• 1 Year of Career ACTivate’s Momentum Program is another bonus prize. In order to qualify follow all requirements on the challenge page including to share the challenge image as a Facebook post. Winner Notification
1. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email and must show picture identification to claim their prize. SET ON A HILL and the Challenge Sponsor reserve the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
2. By participating in the Challenge, each participant and the Grand Prize Winner waives any and all claims of liability against SET ON A HILL and the Challenge Sponsor, and their respective employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss that may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Challenge, or from the use of any prize. The Grand Prize Winner will be required to complete a release and affidavit prior to acceptance of any prize. If the Grand Prize Winner is a minor in their state of residence he/she will be required to have a parent or guardian complete the release and affidavit as required by applicable law.
3. By claiming a prize, the Grand Prize Winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation, of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including, without limitation, radio broadcasts; newspapers and other publications; television or film releases; slides; videotape; distribution over the Internet; and picture date storage) SET ON A HILL or the Challenge Sponsor may deem appropriate.
Additional Rules
1. The conduct of the Challenge is governed by the applicable laws of the Unites States of America and any applicable state laws, which take precedence over any rule to the contrary herein. All claims rating in any manner to this Challenge or to any Submission must be resolved in the federal or state courts in Los Angeles, California, USA.
2. SET ON A HILL and the Challenge Sponsor are not liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or Challenge information.
3. By participating in the Challenge, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of SET ON A HILL personnel. SET ON A HILL reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner and may refuse to award any prize to a person who is ineligible or has violated any rule, gained unfair advantage in participating in the Challenge, or obtained winner status using fraudulent means. SET ON A HILL will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Challenge and their decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Challenge is affected by human error, any mechanical, technical, electronic, communications, telephone, computer, hardware or software errors, malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of SET ON A HILL, SET ON A HILL reserves the right to terminate this Challenge, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as SET ON A HILL deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by SET ON A HILL and are final.
SET ON A HILL may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion.
4. SET ON A HILL and Sponsor reserves the right not to award any prizes if none of the entries received meet the stated Challenge criteria, in
SET ON A HILL’s sole discretion.
5. SET ON A HILL and the Challenge Sponsor take no responsibility and assume no liability for any omissions, acts or damages that may result from the preparing of materials to submit to this Challenge. SET ON A HILL and Challenge Sponsor stress that teen and other producers safely conduct their projects and avoid potentially dangerous production situations that put crew, actors, the public or
any other persons at risk. To assure the safety of participants, adult supervision is strongly encouraged.

Intellectual Property Rights
1. By submitting any entry, entrants thereby grant to SET ON A HILL and Sponsor and their affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees and assigns, an irrevocable, perpetual and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works of, modify, publish and otherwise make use of the submitted work (including the video and all aspects and elements thereof) or other information in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created, throughout the world and for any purpose. In addition to other things, the rights granted to SET ON A HILL and Sponsor include, but are not limited to, the right to resize, crop, censor, compress, edit, feature, caption, affix logos to, and to otherwise alter or make use of the submitted work.
2. By submitting an entry, entrants thereby represent and warrant that the submitted work or information does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third
party, and the entrants affirm they have the right to grant any and all rights and licenses granted to SET ON A HILL and/or the Challenge Sponsor herein, including but not limited to, all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.
3. Entrants acknowledge and agree that SET ON A HILL and the Challenge Sponsor shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any work submitted by the entrant, and may, in their sole and unfettered discretion, remove, edit, modify or delete any work that the entrant submits.

Waiver of Liability and Agreement to Indemnify
By submitting any entry, each entrant, its, his, her or their heirs, successors and assigns (“entrant”) thereby releases, forever discharges and covenants not to make a claim against or sue SET ON A HILL, the Challenge, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance
Company, and their parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, licensees, employees, officers, directors, representatives, successors and assigns (“SET ON A HILL and Sponsor”), of and from all manner of action or actions, cause or causes of action, at law or in equity, suits, claims, demands, liability, loss, cost or expense, of any nature whatsoever, known or unknown, fixed or contingent, which entrant may have or hereafter have against SET ON A HILL and Sponsor by reason of any injuries or damages entrant may sustain, whether to entrant’s person, property, reputation, or otherwise, as a result of, incident to, or related in any way to the entry, the Challenge, or the use, incorporation or exploitation of the entry for any purpose described herein. Entrant waives and foregoes the right to seek injunctive relief against anyone relating in any way to the entry, the Challenge, or the use, incorporation, or exploitation of the materials
for any purpose described herein. Entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SET ON A HILL and Sponsor from and against any liabilities, losses, claims, demands, costs (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) and expenses arising in
connection with any breach or alleged breach by me of any representation made in the entry or by virtue of submitting the entry.
